The architectural approach of BroadPort is flexible to allow for future and possible new network-related multinational deployment options for mission-critical broadband networks for PPDR. Based on the technical concept developed in Phase 1, BroadPort is going to build a prototype covering subsystems situated in four different countries. Automated tests and driver+ based manual test setups will assure technical viability for practitioners. BroadPort introduces the standardised inter-MCS interfaces in order to orchestrate the different level of SpiceNet, the reference architecture, and the participating communication networks. The setup will provide not only interoperability, but mission critical-grade roaming capabilities ensuring a seamless operation of first responders and addressing the high demands of the pan-European mobility scenarios. This approach paves the way to an innovative, fully-mission critical compliant solution meeting the specific requirements of the PPDR community.
